Levels of Harmony Horsemanship Instructors


Are you wondering what the Harmony Horsemanship Instructor Levels mean?

  • Level 1:

Entry level instructors that are qualified to teach lessons with groups up to 6 people. They have passed the same content and testing as a level 2, but they do not yet have the experience of coaching and providing feedback so they are at a level 1.

  • Level 2:

Working level instructors that have a minimum of 2 years experience coaching. They are able to teach groups and a variety of levels. They have passed the same testing as level 1 instructors, but they have more experience coaching and providing feedback.

  • Level 3L and 3:

Professional level instructors with a minimum of 5 years experience coaching. They are able to teach clinics and workshops as well as lessons. They have passed the same testing as level 1 and 2 instructors plus they have demonstrated the calm connection exercises and A,B,C’s at Liberty for 3L, and if they are Level 3 they have shown those skills at both liberty and bridleless with a horse they trained themselves.

  • Level 4:

Professional Plus level instructors that have a lot of experience and are able to give advanced clinics and courses.If they are 4L they have also demonstrated liberty work with a variety of horses that they have trained themselves, and if they are Level 4 they have shown those skills at both liberty and bridleless with a variety of horses. They have also passed an advanced knowledge exam, and have a minimum of 7 years coaching experience, with several years practicing Harmony Horsemanship.

  • Level 5:

Master level instructors are able to teach other instructors and examine other instructors. They have strategies to teach any horse that shows up at a clinic or course.
